La vidéo "In the Same Place" se penche sur un fragment d'histoire du quartier Praille-Acacias-Vernets. Le transport ferroviaire a joué un rôle primordial dans l'histoire du quartier, en particulier dans la première moitié du XXe siècle, quand une ligne de chemin de fer fut construite pour relier Cornavin à la Praille. Pendant de nombreuses années, les trains étaient utilisés, entre autre, pour le transport d'animaux (de bétail ou de cirque), et il n'était pas rare de voir une procession de chevaux ou d'éléphants se rendre au chapiteau à la plaine de Plainpalais. Dans la première partie de la vidéo, on voit les images d'une archive des années 1950 montrant des animaux de cirque en déplacement entre Lancy et Plainpalais. Après une ellipse temporelle nous ramenant au temps présent, c'est l'artiste elle-même qui est montrée en train de conduire deux chevaux dans le sens inverse. Le but final de cette parade inversée est la gare de Lancy-Pont-Rouge, où les chevaux d'aujourd'hui se retrouvent confrontés à l'image des chevaux d'autrefois, dans un rapprochement des temporalités et dans une mise en abyme troublante.

Das Video "In the Same Place" befasst sich mit einem Fragment der Geschichte des Viertels Praille-Acacias-Vernets. Der Schienenverkehr spielte in der Geschichte des Viertels eine herausragende Rolle, vor allem in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts, als eine Eisenbahnlinie gebaut wurde, um Cornavin mit La Praille zu verbinden. Viele Jahre lang wurden die Züge unter anderem für den Transport von Tieren (Vieh oder Zirkustieren) genutzt, und es war nicht ungewöhnlich, eine Prozession von Pferden oder Elefanten zu sehen, die sich zum Zirkuszelt auf der Plaine de Plainpalais bewegte. Im ersten Teil des Videos sehen wir Bilder aus einem Archiv aus den 1950er Jahren, die Zirkustiere zeigen, die zwischen Lancy und Plainpalais unterwegs sind. Nach einer zeitlichen Ellipse, die uns in die Gegenwart zurückversetzt, wird die Künstlerin selbst gezeigt, wie sie zwei Pferde in die entgegengesetzte Richtung führt. Das Endziel dieser umgekehrten Parade ist der Bahnhof Lancy-Pont-Rouge, wo die Pferde von heute mit dem Bild der Pferde von früher konfrontiert werden, in einer Annäherung der Zeitlichkeiten und in einer beunruhigenden Mise en abyme.

The video "In the Same Place" looks at a fragment of the history of the Praille-Acacias-Vernets district. Rail transport has played a key role in the history of the district, particularly in the first half of the 20th century, when a railway line was built to link Cornavin to La Praille. For many years, the trains were used, among other things, to transport animals (livestock or circus animals), and it was not uncommon to see a procession of horses or elephants making their way to the circus tent on the Plainpalais plain. The first part of the video shows archive footage from the 1950s of circus animals travelling between Lancy and Plainpalais. After a temporal ellipsis taking us back to the present, the artist herself is shown driving two horses in the opposite direction. The final destination of this inverted parade is the Lancy-Pont-Rouge station, where the horses of today are confronted with the image of horses of yesteryear, in an unsettling temporal alignment and mise en abyme.
